Stunning realization of the classic Folk Ballad "3 Ravens" originating in the British Isles in 1100.
Evolving from Norse legend and mythology, ravens were the "eyes" for the Norse god, Odin. As Vikings invaded Ireland and Scotland the birds became part of Celtic lore, and the basis for a 1,000-year-old ballad, 3 Ravens.
The tale follows a knight heading home to his fair maid after forsaking the Holy Crusades. Wary of the effect the Crusades had on all lands, he learns his home, and intended, under the control of the vile Duke Crowe, taking advantage of all good men being away, taking all maids for his pleasure. His prized "pet" is Kiera, the Knight's love.
In league with Satan, he has gained power from selling his soul for power over the land and his carnal desires. Given two servants of Satan, the three face the returning knight who has no fear of battle. His true crusade is the demise of the evil Crowe and his devil companions -- and to save his love from Crowe's perverse pleasures.
Swords, sorcery, mayhem, fear, battle fierce, and love divine all combine to a shocking tale and unforgettable climax.
Following the success of the first three Folk Ballads Realized books, 3 Ravens shows the raw power and struggle that has continued to this very day in the Holy Land, and with warriors off to foreign lands while loves wait at home, victim to powers that are ready to bring hell to their lives.
Unlike any other book series, Folk Ballads Realized shows that the song remains the same -- sung again and again over time to each new generation facing the same struggles for love and honor.
